A Better Way Home is SAFECHR’s long-term therapeutic housing initiative designed for survivors of human trafficking, sexual violence, and gender-based abuse. The program provides trauma-informed housing, recovery support, and structured rehabilitation services focused on healing, stability, and independence. Created in response to the critical shortage of long-term survivor housing, the initiative expands SAFECHR’s vision of providing environments where women and children are given safety, dignity, and the time needed to rebuild their lives.
Many survivors are released from short-term shelters back into unstable environments before healing can begin. SAFECHR’s therapeutic housing model focuses on long-term recovery, emotional safety, and sustainable reintegration.
